  • Turkey Tournament Games This Weekend

    We have 20 Turkey Tournament Teams from divisions U10, U12, U14 & U16 participating in Thanksgiving Tournaments.  All teams will be in one of two tournaments in Pasadena, so if you find yourself doing your Black Friday weekend shopping in Old Town Pasadena, swing by and cheer on your fellow Santa Monica “Saints”.  Team lists & Tournament locations can be found on the Turkey Tournament page under the Fall 2010 tab. more

  • So Long to Our Eldest Players

    Our eldest players (U19’s) finished their season this last weekend, and we will be saying so long to some of them as they leave AYSO for adult leagues. 

    Some of these young men & women started out in Santa Monica AYSO 14 years ago as little U6 players: 
    Bryan Arroyo, Sam Funnell, Yesica Gomez Llanos, Isabel Hennessey, Hannah Hruby, Callum King, Sahar Maknouni, Angelica Munoz, Andrew Palacios, Donald Still & Reuben Tomlins.  more

    On Wednesday, November 17th, 2010, from 6:30 - 9PM, there’s an opportunity to gain a full understanding of the game of soccer and how it applies to youth players in a short amount of time.

    Region 20 is helping Region 78 (Hollywood) put on a combination online referee course and tune-up clinic, open to all volunteers.

    If you've never refereed, and want to earn your Basic Certification, this is your last chance to do so for many months. more

  • Congratulations to U16 Girls

    Our U16 Girls team secured the Area 1P League Championship last weekend with a 4-0 win over Beverly Hills.  The team lead by coach Dickie Pye & assistant coach Ian Hardwick allowed only 1 goal all season.  They will advance to Sectionals November 20-21 in Chino.  Our other Upper Division teams will compete in the Area 1P tournament, beginning this weekend.  Let's go Samo!
