Coach Sammy Romo's Spring Select team won gold in the Founders Cup Championship in the GU12 Division!

This weekend, the girls expertise at trapping balls, playing in space, maximizing passing lanes, and--most of all--playing fair but physical soccer ensured that they would not be denied the medal. In the championship final, the two teams combined for three yellow cards, a rarity in GU12 matches. Refusing to be intimidated by the physical nature of the match, the Saints prevailed 2-0. Overall, the team went 5-0 over the two day period outscoring their opponents 13-5. more

We are pleased to once again offer a Spring Scrimmage program to all SM AYSO U8, U10, U12 & U14 players that are NOT on a Spring Select team. This year we have expanded the program to include all U8 players.  This is a program designed to give interested kids a chance to play more soccer and to grow their skills. The co-ed program will take place in a fun and pressure-free environment. Each 1 hour 45 minute session will consist of skills, training and playing scrimmage games.

Starting this Saturday (April 2), the program runs from 9am-10:45am every Saturday through Saturday, May 21, except April 16 due to SMMUSD Spring Break. The cost of the program is $40 and includes a free t-shirt.

To register your child, go to the Spring Scrimmage 2011 Player Registration page under the Registration tab above.

Thank you in advance for making this a fun program for the kids! We look forward to seeing you on Saturday.
