  • Santa Monica AYSO U14G Wins at Strawberry Cup in Camarillo

    Santa Monica AYSO Girls U14 carded an impressive 4-0 record en route to their win on May 12, 2013 at the 19th Annual Strawberry Cup soccer tournament held in Camarillo.  The girls were perfect with four shutouts, winning by scores of 5-0, 1-0, and 3-0 in pool play. 

    Santa Monica met a Camarillo team in the championship game who came in also with a perfect record, three shutouts, all with the same scores.  The final game was a hard fought match with the score 0-0 at the half.  Early in the third quarter, Val Romo received a pass from Fiona Story (assist) and scored with a beautiful, bending shot from just inside the right touchline to make the score 1-0.  Santa Monica maintained an insurmountable defense for the remainder of the game which resulted in their 4th shutout of the weekend and the championship. more

  • The Girls U12 Extra Team On a Roll

    In January, the Girls U12 Extra Team won the Corona Pony Express tournament.   The girls sailed through pool play and met their Area rival, Culver City, in the final.  The team wanted to avenge an earlier loss to Culver City in League play (Santa Monica’s only loss).  Both teams knew they would likely face each other in the Area playoffs so the game would give one team a lift going into those playoffs.  more

  • U10B All Stars - Sensational at Sectionals

    Our intrepid All Stars played sensationally at Sectionals, nearly upsetting the Area Champions’ apple cart with an appearance in the medal round.  Instead, the boys took home 16 points, a Las Vegas Area 1S scalp, a scrappy tie against a tough Beach Cities champion team from Manhattan Beach, and one conceded goal against group winner Arcadia that made up the difference between advancing to the semifinals. more

  • Santa Monica BU10 All Stars Ride Team Effort to Sectionals

    After attaining a #3 seeding in the group stage with a 3-1 record on a wet Jan-26-27 weekend, Santa Monica’s BU10 All Stars took 2nd place in the Area 1-P tournament the following weekend in Culver City, knocking off a feisty Los Feliz side 3-1 in the quarterfinals and a resilient West LA squad 3-2 in the semis before succumbing to deservedly top-seeded South LA in the finals.  more

  • Rain Impacts All Star Tournaments

    Due to the rains over the last couple of days, Area has implemented their rain contingency plan. All U14 games will be played at JAMS this weekend and next weekend. All star games in the U10 and U12 divisions will be played at various new locations. Area will notify teams later today of revised game locations (and game times, if any). Stay tuned... more

  • Clover Park Closed Today - U10 Games Moved to Airport Park

    Due to the rain, Clover Park fields are closed today (Saturday). All U10 games will be played today (rain or shine) at Airport Park. Start times for games today will be moved back 30 minutes. A decision on Sunday's games will be made later today or tomorrow morning. Stay tuned. more
